How do you deal with losing strength when coming off a cycle?

I know this may sound like a silly question but I'm always looking at making gains and then exceeding those gains over and over. When I go to the gym I always want to be adding either more weight or reps over time and am concerned that if I use gear my strength will increase but when I come off I will lose those gains. On post cycle how much of the gained strength do you retain? I'm sure a lot of it is also psychological and your mind thinks you aren't as strong because you're not on the stimulant.

    Thanks,
    Pete

I think you have to realize going in that you are going to keep some strenght gains but you will loose some as well .

Strength will def go down. I deal with it by switching up my routine to more of a circuit training type during pct, concentrating more on getting a full body pump. I know alot of guys will disagree with this, but it's worked pretty dang well for me.

I drop down to power type workouts and just concentrate on the big 4, which is also supposed to help test levels get back up, but you got to work out what works best for you.

I've documented this before and I'll say it again...clen in pct not only helped with the fat I gained while ON....but also gave me increased strength in PCT...I used it only on workout days and had great success.

I kept almost all my strength gains post cycle. I might have dropped 5lbs here and there, but big deal overall I kept most of my strength gains (I'd say about 90%)

Some people just naturally keep alot of the strength.

lucky you... you must be bench pressing 600 or more for reps!!!

I'm in the same boat.. I will unfortunately lose about 60 percent of my strength after 3 months and this sucks.

No, my bench fell for 10lbs and that was the most followed by LAT pulldown and shrugs.

But I went into a cruise which helped save virtually all my muscle and strength.

But my workouts are intense 60-80 minutes. One bodypart a day. 32 sets per body part. Work each body part once a week.

For example, I did biceps today, bumped out 32 sets in about an hour 10 mins and my arms were on fire!!!

The way I do it, you dont have to "change" up your workouts because your workouts contain the most fundamental exercises + some isolation exercises for growth.

Been doing volume workouts for almost a year and half now, the key is doing it intensly and finishing in under 90 minutes (perferably 75 minutes).

Because lets be honest, anyone can do 32 sets and take their sweet ass time. But when you pump that shit out in the same time it takes someone to do a two bodypart workout totaling 20-24 sets, it makes a huge difference.
