how long can you stay on hrt?

A friend of mine is 34, and he flew out of state to see a "doctor" to get on hrt. His T levels are fine but I guess the doctor is the one who decides if they need to be raised more or not. BTW the doc is on this stuff too, but anyways he drops quite a bit of money on all the tests he had to get and all the prescriptions to fill-WAY more than he were to buy some juice off the street. He has done a few cycles in the past but wanted it to be legit for some reason this time. But he told me the doc says he can stay on the HRT as long as he wants, not like juice and have to cycle off. My question is once he is on that for long enough wont he pretty much never be able to produce normal T levels again naturally? He acts like since it is from the doc that its not the same as juice off the street or what have you and he can stop whenever he wants with no side effects. Will he pretty much be stuck on that stuff for life after too long?

with hrt the dose is much lower and spread out more, for example some do 100mg once a week, or 200mg every 2 weeks, etc. but yes it has the likelyhood that you will always have to be on it and fertility is greatly reduced

Well if it is less effective, more expensive, still can ruin your HPTA and he does not get tested for it, I really see no big deal. The feds could care less about a dude keeping a couple vials in his bathroom, they are after the big dogs that distribute the stuff. Hell I can think of three guys at the gym who are on the various police forces around here that are juiced as hell, I wonder what they would say if I walked up to them looking to score some....

Just out of curiosity...do the testicles still shrink and shut down? My knowledge of AAS says yes - even at a low dose. But I can't imagine docs would accept that as a side effect.

I'm guessing maybe the work they do reduces but they don't completely shut down??

I think atrophy sets in, little if and natural production and shrinkage. some will go off and try and restart ther natural production with other drugs but depending on the individuals circumstance natural production may not be sustained.I am pretty much a lifer; 39 years old with a natural production of 200 the doc says 100mgs a week so i gues i am going to have to get used to pinning my quads.Dont like it ther i always think i am going to hit my bone (ouch!) you will get used to it and feel the difference. best of luck.

TRT is for LIFE.. well I should say as LONG as you want to be SEXUALLY ACTIVE.. I don't think you will be seeing a 77 year old Pinning 200mgs per week.. so I mean there has to be a point at which you just stop because you aren't going to be sexually active anymore.. I'd figure as long as you are still at the Point to be laying Pipe into your wife and you require TRT then you will receive it.

I am 27 years old and on TRT and My doc told me that I am a "LIFER" SO, Then it leads me to think even if I am 77 years old and am NOT healthy enough to engage in sexual intercourse I would still be on it.. because it is a MEDICAL PROVEN FACT that a MAN with LOWER TESTOSTERONE LEVELS is more prone to BAD THINGS happening then MAN with HIGH/or AVERAGE Testosterone Levels... so I am assuming when he says LIFE he means.. for as long as I AM BREATHING... SO who knows... guess I'll find out when the time comes..

well i guess if the question is used in the correct pretense..the answer should be forever..
that is like being diagnosed and saying "how long should i take synthroid for?"
