18 - growth plates

Im 18 and may be looking into HGH, i know what you guys will think about that but anyway im not here for advice on that Im wondering, in england, how would I find out if my growth plates were closed? who would i need to see? thx

18 is a bit young to be using HGH

you would need to see a doctor and ask for x-rays to determine if your growth plates are fused or not

and that is not something you can get done on the NHS.....

Yah, you need to get X-Rays done. I actually got it done 2 weeks ago! They snap some images of the spine, etc. It's pretty cool. Mine weren't fused closed as of yet! However, the doc said he could see some regression had occurred.

If you're thinking about using HGH to get taller, I wouldn't hold your breath. There is TONS of medical research out there that says you will NOT get any taller from using HGH after you're done puberty.

(now many people will counter this saying - well wait, you aren't done growing until you're 21 - 25, so you might as well give it a chance, -- k listen to me IT'S ALL HYPE. you will not grow any taller..)

Did the doc give you a reason for the regression ??

no no getting taller is something i want to avoid, hence i wasnt too keen on beginning hgh before my plates were closed

I heard that gh makes slower the closing of plates. Is it true?
