    Talking 25 Year old Male, Newbie, looking for good advice

    I am 25, 5'7, 173 lbs. I have ranged from 155 - 198 lbs mostly due to bad diet. I am currently eating healtier. I also go to the gym 2 - 3 times a week and try to swim or play roller hockey or some extra type of fun cardio.

    When I lift, I tend to see quick change but plateu very fast. I don't get much stronger and sometimes even lift less then the week before. My body tightens up but no drastic changes. Currently I weight about 174lbs; I have more body fat on me then I feel like I should at my age.

    I am looking for something to help define my stomach and muscles particulary my shoulders, bicepts and tricepts, for a sexier look. I wouldn't mind some increase in mass, but I am not looking to be on the cover of a body building magzine. I don't compete on any levels. I am strictly looking for an edge for increased definition.

    A friend recommended a cycle of EQUIPOISE and ANAVAR. I understand these take atleast 10 - 12 weeks to be effective. I would like to see faster results but to me longer lasting results, less water retention, and less side effects are more important then the immediate gratification.

    I admit I am a total newbie, with the exception of whey protein I have never used any gain substances. I am looking for the most positive way to maintain a similar size (or slightly larger) but with much more definiton. Again I am currently 5'7 174lbs. I prefer oral as opposed to injection but ultimately will use either.

    PLease let me know any comments or suggestions

    Welcome aboard

    Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Everyone here is going to recommend you get your Diet and training in check long before you start using any steroids, and that is the correct advice.

    Reading your post, I believe you still need a lot of work before you can start a cycle. Read up on diets and workout plans and learn how to make your body grow naturally before joining the dark side.

    Welcome to the boards. Roller hockey is a great workout i too try to play 2-3 times a week.
