I stupidly got on when I was about 17 due to the influence of a girlfriend at the time. Man, be prepared for some intense pain. I have crashed a motorbike fracturing 5 vertebrae, dislocated my shoulder, broken other bones, and the pain you get from a needle going through your nipple is certainly up there with any of those other events I've had to go through.
Also, depending on your nipple type, you may (like I did) get some scar tissue forming on either side of your nipple.
Infections are something that are also easy to get.
Trust me, you have to wash it at least once a day. With soap, and slide the ring left and right so you washing inside the hole too, and then apply some antiseptic cream, especially while it's healing. Working out will mean doing this more often.
Anyway, at about 25 or 26 yrs of age, I came to my senses and took the stupid thing out. Wish I never got it done in the first place as the scar tissue is still there.
Oh well, the joys of being young & dumb hey.
