its great to have a shake before bed. Add a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil to it

if a protein shake is what you are after make sure it's casein protein and mix in some efa's as well.

whey is quick digestian....caesin is slow
whey is best for after training........caesin is good if you arent going to have something to eat for a prolonged time...i.e bedtime

no mate.......whole food is better than shakes........and by just having shakes wont make you lose the gut any quicker.......you need to follow a decent diet...weight routine and a cardio routine.
stick with whey for after training and caesin before bed.......if you get stuck during the day then a shake wont do any harm......but allways try for whole foods.

you can also buy a 6 hour release protein powder..that slowly realease protein over 6 hours to your body...great for bed time.![]()

eat real food... it's called eating for a reason... not drinking, you don't drink to get big.
i go with casien also or cottage cheese or a cereal wen i need some carbs
