    upping bench weird

my chest has been weak always tbh and never been my fave muscle to train

im stuck and cant get my lifts up

i can do 1 rep jsut about with 100kg
then after that im so dead i cant lift 70kg

i have done both my rotor cuffs in the past so my shoulder joints click n crack like mad and can start hurtin(im sure this is a big reason)

i need some tips to get my bench up
i can do 85kg for like 2 reps then im all out

and i can do 80kg for 5 reps which is what i usually use for my chest excercise

but then i can close grip 70kg for 7reps and do 10 sets

help me out guys im puzzled that i can close grip that much but can only bench 10kg more

for bench i start sticking just above the chest and also before i lock out my arms

im actually embarrased at how much i can bench
even tho i have long arms and injured

i can upright row with 100kg with ease 10 reps 8 sets i do so i just dont know whats up

Are you saying that both of your rotator cuffs have been operated on? I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean by "done" both your rotator cuffs. If that's the case, then you may always have problems with heavy benches.

However, there are some remedies. Have you tried not locking out at the top of a bench press? Unless you are training for a powerlifting meet, there's really not reason to lock out at the top. Most of the chest exercises activate the shoulders in some form or fashion, but I would say try not locking out.

You may wanna PM some of the more senior members like Fireguy or Musclescience if you don't get enough replies here. I'm not quite as sharp as them, but that's my two cents. They will know more

i always lock them out while bench pressing
basically im trying to get my bench up and cant beleive that i cna only bench 10kg more than my close grip

id like some tips to get my bench up

the only reason i think affecting it is both my shoulders-- i dont know if its the rotor cuffs the dr didnt say -
what happened is i dislocated both
but didnt go to the hospital, just pushed them into place myself
they have been makign crackign soudns for ages and at firs ti cud not rais them up infront of me
the hospital said its ok theyl get better and do physio
done that theyre still the same

sometiems if i do a upright row it feels as if theyre both gonna slip out

Dude you may wanna get those shoulders looked at before you get too crazy on the bench press. That is one of the biggest knocks against the bench is the pressure it puts on the shoulders and elbows, especially when you lock out at the top. Try not locking out. It provides a better burn anyway, because the muscles involved do not have that "rest" at the top like they do when you lock out. Look at youtube videos of Ronnie Coleman. He never locks out, in fact, he only pushes it about halfway.
