    Detox from partying?

Aight so its been a tiiite summer. I saw a lot of my really great friends and kept to my exercise regime and happy with my results. (YES!!!)

However, I left all my old friends and now headed back to school.
I decided to detox from everything pretty much including caffeine (which I was having a shitload) and drankin and smokin whatever it is I smoke. \

Anyways, its been almost a week and I have had pretty much no energy and a nice little headache.

    WTF?

anyone else notice this shiz? just kind of a rant n vent. peace

Your body may have become dependent once intake of certain drugs is taking in at high levels and long periods of time. Similar to how a alcoholic can have a BAC that would kill a normal person. There body chemistry is actually altered. Maybe Muscle Science can expand on this

However no, I have never noticed this as I don't need high levels of alcohol or drugs to have a good time. Plus my progression was drastically slower when I have been out partying in my college years drinking whiskey and kegs till I was drunk

For me the lifestyle of partying, going to clubs, girls all that can be addicting as I assume is for most.

I have set high goals for myself and won't allow myself to be slowed down or distracted by these things. Don't get me wrong I still go out and have fun just keep myself under control and if I do drink it will be on a deload phase in my training.

However everyone has different goals so this is just my .02cents

I agree with that. You could also take a B12 shot that might help a little. Keep drinking water, and lots of it. You should start feeling better within a week or so. Oh yeah,,,,get plenty of rest.

Caffeine is a bitch to give up, I bet that's what the head aches are from.

Also the summer is the time you get ahead of everyone else. They are at the beach, or hung over from partying and thats when you should be at your best. Making gains while they are slipping up !!!

dude its caffiene. After smoking for a long time, the worst that happened was a little irratibility, decreased hunger, and WEIRD ass dreams/shitty sleep. It only lasts a few days. Not bad at all, sometimes the dreams are funny or cool.

Now caffeine, oh man. This stuff is hell to give up, especially if you need to be productive. I detox here and there just to knock down the ole tolerance. I get sleepy, pissed as hell, snap at everything, cant pay attention, get terrible headaches, doze off, anger, sometimes nautious, lose appetitie, get angry, feel stupid, have no drive, and did i mention get angry.

I try to limit myself to 1-2 cups in the morning only. That way if i stop, its not too bad. Its once you drink coffee all day, every day, that you become very very dependant. And sometimes you need to, due to whatever things you may need to get done at the time. But ti sucks quitting

The headaches are from the caffiene. Being tired all the time stems from your schedule change to a life of partying, and now back to reality. Sounds like your body took a beating. Drown it in vits and water as mentioned and lots of vit c.

I have found the best way to get off caffiene, and still remain functional, is to drink black tea. I have quit cold turkey, which works, but i am useless and pissy for a week. Black tea is just enough caffiene to keep you going. Plus its really good for you.

Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, cardiac muscle, and respiratory system. It is also a diuretic.

Your irritability may be a cause of over-consumption of caffeine, or your bodys way of sreaming for more, if you've been without.

I get terrible allergies when I drink excess caffeine, whether from coffee or green tea, etc.

Drink an admirable amount of water, and if you need some caffeine to get through the day, try green tea. However, when you use the tea, don't put BOILING water over it, because it can kill off valuable therapeutic compounds. Also, try steeping your green tea in hot water for about 30-45 seconds, then re-steeping it in fresh hot water, this will eliminate some of the caffeine content.

    Hope this helps.
