Burning DVDs

I am trying to burn a few mpegs.

I used Nero express, and people are telling me I can also do that through simply copying and pasting the files into the DVD window (or drag the file into it).

I tried the Nero way, and my television gave me this word, in red:

AGING

Obviously the drag and drop did not work either.

And obviously I am doing something wrong.
Can any1 help?

I am using a CD-R disc....
But nero said the burning of the mpeg was complete....

MaybE i NEED A DVD?

if you are going to do it with a cd you have to make a vcd...either way...i dont' think nero will do it without you structering it

And I take it a vcd won't play in a DVD Player?

OK...so what if I buy a DVD RW disc...what should I do

Nero Vision is what you're looking for if you want to burn a movie or series. It creates DVDs with menus and everything...Very easy!

Nero vision was pretty easy for me and the quality was AMAZING (even when it said Good in the status bar cause I stuffed 3 1-hour episodes into 1 DVD).

Yes, you should always BUY software...tell me my friend do you know what a torrent file is?

Those are my guesses, and also my guess it is loaded with spyware and trojans

and at the very end (it took 9mins to complete the whole movie [mpeg]) it told me I had the wrong type of disc (CD RW, while I need a DVD RW)

It seems I cannot do this ..Im gonna have to go to a store and get the DVD RW discs

Well not if you know what you're doing, they're not . If they have trojans, people wouldn't seed them. You can also tell from the comments.

Anyway, even with Nero Vision you need a DVD.

It does audio, video, etc. All sorts of other stuff I know crap about lol. I just use it to burn movies to dvds.

But yeah, you need to go buy some dvd-r's for movies. and cd-r's for music.

You shouldn't need a DVD RW. In fact i have never once used a DVDRW with VSO. I only use TDK DVD-R.

Just remember, if you are going to be downloading torrents make sure you have a good anti-virus program. A lot of people post bad torrents.

The other members normally leave comments giving the quality of the movie and if its worth downloading or not.

Also keep in mind, competitors will sometimes lie and post its a virus because they want you to download someone else version.

Not to advertise but if u use netflix im sure you get movies faster than downloading them and putting them on dvd disk and taking the chance that it may be damaged.
How do you avoid damage in the middle of a humongous download?

Even if its cut into ten downloads, how do I know download #x isn't faulty?

seeds - are people sharing the file
leechers - are not sharing

When you search for a file you want to get as many seeders as you can as it will help with faster download speeds. You can become a seeder; when you are finished downloading a movie simply keep the bittorrent program open to help others download what you already have.
