While the plan was to BULK up I had been wondering WHY I hadn't even GAINED ONE LB. Come to find out.. I have been running it totally wrong and ingesting 3295cals on ave. per day...
Just recalculated to be gaining 1lb per week I should have been eating 4219 calories per day according to the marvelous and wonderful HARRIS-BENEDICT FORMULA.
Correct me if Im wrong... I have a weight of 225lbs. a height at 72 inches... my age is 27 years old and I have an activity level of 1.725 ... i thought and yah right now it isn't the 1.9 it should be... but we will get to that later... My current bf% is 15% and I eat about 2 grams of pro. per lb. of bodyweight... my daily dietary fat percentage is around 20% on avg.... looking to add 1lb per week equates to an INCREASE of 500cals a day... and on my workout days i eat 7 meals... now...
RESULTSJUST FOR MAINTENANCE) 191lbs. of lean body mass means a basal metabolism (BMR) of 1989cals... MY BMR + ACTIVITY + TEF = roughly 3719calories per day... to stay where im at (note i have been eating 500 less calories than that...hence why the FAT Has been melting off of me but I haven't really gained all that much muscle tissue...) so just at this number I should be eating 531 cals per meal...
FOR BULKING !!! : My BMR 1989cals..MY BMR + ACTIVITY + TEF = roughly 3719calories per day.. NOW ADD IN THE EXTRA 500 FRIGGEN CALORIES !!!!!!! 4219 CALORIES PER FVCKING DAY !! NOT 3295 CALORIES... 4219 !!! With a meal average of around 600 cals.. technically 603 but who really counts that 3 !!!
4220 Cals.. I have 50 days left that I need to re-work and salvage what I can.. I am LOST now.. I have NO CLUE How to jump this to 4220... I just tried my damndest today... 3800... I am missing 420 calories somewhere...
I almost want to just cycle off and start all over once I can get this planned out right... DAMNIT !! As if I didn't have enough going on....
