    Exclamation I have OFFICIALLY wasted 6 weeks of my life...

    While the plan was to BULK up I had been wondering WHY I hadn't even GAINED ONE LB. Come to find out.. I have been running it totally wrong and ingesting 3295cals on ave. per day...

    Just recalculated to be gaining 1lb per week I should have been eating 4219 calories per day according to the marvelous and wonderful HARRIS-BENEDICT FORMULA.

    Correct me if Im wrong... I have a weight of 225lbs. a height at 72 inches... my age is 27 years old and I have an activity level of 1.725 ... i thought and yah right now it isn't the 1.9 it should be... but we will get to that later... My current bf% is 15% and I eat about 2 grams of pro. per lb. of bodyweight... my daily dietary fat percentage is around 20% on avg.... looking to add 1lb per week equates to an INCREASE of 500cals a day... and on my workout days i eat 7 meals... now...

    RESULTSJUST FOR MAINTENANCE) 191lbs. of lean body mass means a basal metabolism (BMR) of 1989cals... MY BMR + ACTIVITY + TEF = roughly 3719calories per day... to stay where im at (note i have been eating 500 less calories than that...hence why the FAT Has been melting off of me but I haven't really gained all that much muscle tissue...) so just at this number I should be eating 531 cals per meal...

    FOR BULKING !!! : My BMR 1989cals..MY BMR + ACTIVITY + TEF = roughly 3719calories per day.. NOW ADD IN THE EXTRA 500 FRIGGEN CALORIES !!!!!!! 4219 CALORIES PER FVCKING DAY !! NOT 3295 CALORIES... 4219 !!! With a meal average of around 600 cals.. technically 603 but who really counts that 3 !!!

    4220 Cals.. I have 50 days left that I need to re-work and salvage what I can.. I am LOST now.. I have NO CLUE How to jump this to 4220... I just tried my damndest today... 3800... I am missing 420 calories somewhere...

    I almost want to just cycle off and start all over once I can get this planned out right... DAMNIT !! As if I didn't have enough going on....


    Please help bro's... anything you can do.. Please !!!

    im 6'5" tall been scrauny my whole life, im uppin my bmr + activity level to a positive 1,200 calories a day while starting my weight lifting routine, you say screw the extra 3 cals per meal 3x7 meals = 21 calories a day x that by 7 days per week and ur cutting out 147 calories from the get go.... you need to be precise dude, the more precise you are the better (more confident) you will feel about your entire system you have educated on, and implimented on... its food for thought, dont allow yourself to cut any corners on the most fundamental part of the whole idea............ =) Good luck

    You didnt waste 6 weeks of your life. This was a blessing in disguise. You can add just as much muscle at 10-12% bf as you can >15%. Stay on the current plan and watch the progress continue.

    Exactly, dont just look at the scale and keep trying to gain WEIGHT, you want to gain muscle and I can actually bet you dont need 4220 kcals to do so. So many people overestimate the cals they need and get fat off season, Harris Benedict isnt a perfect science. Everyone is different.

    Funny thing is Deuce actually just recently posted a bunch of pics showing how great of progress he was making and you could actually see a visible improvement. The sooner you forget the word "bulk" the faster you are going to start looking like a bodybuilder Deuce.

    i was about to say that's what i would need to eat for a bulk... and im bigger then you...

    throw away your scale bro.. one of the best and most treasured things you can do is gain muscle and lose fat at the same time..

    the wonder of steroids...

    Smile Increasing Metabolism

    It's all about your body's performance in metabolizing all the nutrients that you're taking in. No need to fret man -- just work on your body's performance working in coordination with your target. I consulted with guy in increasing my metabolism, to work in lieu with my plans and targets and surprisingly, it works! Positive that he can help you out too. Good luck!

    BY THE WAY... I will have new Pics up.. on 10/31... maybe then you can assess and tell me if you notice any major visible improvements since the last round of pics.. Hahaha...

    SINCE This got bumped I might as well update, I threw away the scale.. and stopped Measuring myself and am letting the MIRROR do all the TALKING I need it to do...
