    My wifes truck-which lift and tire size?

    My wife is getting a new f250 4x4 and wants to put a lift on it....

    Anyone have any suggestions on hight and tire size???

    Im thinking 14 inch suspension lift with 46x14.5 inch tires w/ 20 inch rims....

    she is looking for big as possible without becoming to im-practical

    I have to deal with this crap all of the time. Leave your truck alone! You will wear things out faster, it will drive like crap, it is in no way practical. Don't go bitching to your friends about your truck being a POS when you're replacing ball joints and u-joints at 25k. It's not the trucks fault! Those trucks are nice, and tougher than shit the way they are.

    i don't know what state you live in but most states that's not street legal....

    i'd go with a 10 inch and some 40s.....with all the other proper mods as well of course....regearing the axles.....probably new driveshafts....etc.

    If she's not going to take it offroad, and it's only for looks then go ahead. But I find large lifts like that get to be too top heavy on the trails, especially in a tub. I'd probably just go with a 6" lift. They have alot of nice ones for the Superduty trucks. Anything bigger seems to make the vehicle unusable imo.

    14 is a little high...i'd go lower with the suspension lift. Maybe 7...then 2 body lift.

    probably going to go with a 10-12' suspension lift and some 40's like this

    as far as price goes....the truck as we are getting is is 54K and all the mods we are putting into it total around 35K including (lift, tires, wheels, lockers, grill, bumpers, winch, stacks, exhaust, upgraded chip, cool air intake, and sound system)

    this is kinda the size we are looking for...

    both of these trucks have a 12 inch kelderman air ride lift...the first truck has 39's and the second has 41's
