can someone explain this to me
It's when you do a certain exercise to failure and immediately start doing the same exercise with a lesser weight. For example say you max out at 8reps doing dumbbell bicep curls with 50 pound dumbbells and then pick up 35 pound dumbbells and do curls with that weight til you hit failure again. I've found it a good way to break threw plateaus on certain exercises.

except i dont recommend beyond failure techniques other than the superset sometiems.

Leave the drop-sets alone like eatrainrest suggested... Instead when you hit a plateau, use a good super-set routine, man those are good good good to crash through them
Example is:
Chest/back
Bis/Tris
Quads/Hams<---OUCH

(Centered on the Chest)
Week 1 - 2 Rest and Pause
Week 3 - 4 Drop Set
Week 5 - 6 Superset
Week 7 - 8 Pre - Exhaust
I found this in a bodybuilder Magazine and going to try it
