    Make incomplete proteins complete

    I was reading in the encylopedia arnold says you can eat a shitload of incomplete protein and pair it with a small amount of complete protein in order to get a lot of usable protein in the body..

    so for example

    lots of beans mixed with a few eggs or some beef or turkey or whatever

    the analogy he used in the book (maybe?) is if you have a bunch of football players but no quarterback you have an incomplete team..but if you have a shitload of players and add just a few quarterbacks then you have a bunch of complete teams..

    thoughts?

    I read the same book. It is interesting and a good insight to have, although I eat so much protein as it is, I do not need to worry about the amount of protein in beans and such. I was just discussing this with another member on the board. It's good to know in a pinch but if I eat things like beans it is not for my protein source, it would be for carbs or fat because my protein comes from meat, and lots of it.

    Also two incomplete pro can make a complete one (rice+beans). But the best thing is take your pro by meat and eggs.
