    hey from Denver

    Hi just registered...
    I'm 5'11
    228lbs
    38yrs old

I've been lifting on and off since junior high, played football for a few semesters in college and really got my lifting and bulking due to the programs they put you on.

I've kind of been off and on for the last 5years or so and finally getting serious this last month!LOL

Anyway of course i've been around the gear during my football days in college; although my room mates were cycling i never did.

Since then, ive kind of been rethinking the whole thing and looking and considering it as an option.

I'm definately enjoying reading the articles and informative posts here.

    Anyway i'll stop blabbering....

    Peace

Due to your age, bloodwork is a must. Your LDL (bad) cholesterol levels will go up and your HDL (good) cholesterol will go down. Fish oil is a must. Red Yeast rice may help too. As a protein meal source try to rely on chicken breast and most importantly, fish. (not tilapia) No peanut butter.

Thanks for the advice, elitepeptides. I really do need to get my bloodwork done and I plan to soon i need to get a baseline setup and i realize the importance of this if/when i do an AAS cycle.
Basically trying to get down to around 210.

This is a bit lengthy, but here's how i've been approaching things...

I've been trying to limit my caloric intake to 1800-2000 calories for the last 4-5 months with a some results..i started at 238 and through the whole process got down to 222 but had a relapse and gained 6lbs back so i've settled in at around 228 which is frustrating but again i really wasn't that discplined. Now I'm ready for another push!

After reading a bit about the V-Diet i kind of stole from that where i'm drinking a protein shake for morning and before bed to stop the late night snacking;i add flax seed to this.
I've also been eating a lot of chicken and seafood(tuna steak, salmon, shrimp mostly) and the leafy greens: mainly spinach and then green beans and raw brochilli and taking 3 fish oil tablets daily along with, glucosamine and olive oil.Trying my best to limit the carbs, but a little brown rice here and there. Thing is, i am really getting hungry at night and lately if i eat, i try to keep it small... some strips of turkey or a few almonds. The protein shake at night seems to help with this.
I've started taking some hot rox and will start a clen cycle in a about a week and a half.
For my weight training, i'm currently messing around with the Reg Park 5x5 beginner routine (M,W,F)to bring in the squats and dead-lifts since ive been neglecting my lower body for sometime. I want to get back to the basics and work more on my technique to limit injuries etc...
Also been getting into the P90x stretching and Yoga and doing some sprintwork on (Tu,Th,Su)

Adding soluble fiber to your protein shakes will help with the night hunger. You can find it near the antacids and stuff at grocery stores.
