    stay on track on switch??

From the looks of this forum I'm going to get flammed. Lol. Alright well here goes.

    I am 5'&7" 179.6 lbs at 19.7% bodyfat.

My goals are to cut as much bodyfat as possible and then start on a clean bulk to the weight I am now or a little more. But I guess my short term goal is to drop bodyfat relatively quickly.

Alright, So here is my question. Right now according to fit day, My average macro nutrients is looking like 40/30/30 @ 2215 calories per day. I am making pretty good gains or should I say losses. I am losing 1lb a week. I have been on this diet for 5 weeks now. I have dropped 5 lbs and 2% bodyfat since i started this diet. Most people are noticing a change in my appearance. All of my lifts have been going up and i feel more energetic than ever.

So here is my thing I have been on a few other forums and they expressed that the most important thing was calories in<calories out. So right now I guess I am doing pretty decent. I have watched the Milos video and have done some research on nutrition. I am sure there is a better way to diet than mine. However this is working for me. Should i stick with it until i hit a Plateau and then tweak it more to meet the recommended Macros. Or should i just change everything now?

I have also read that there is no difference in eat more meals a day than a few as long as you don't eat more calories. I believe they said that there is no scientific evidence that shows it to be true. It doesnt really pertain to me because I eat 5-8 Meals a day. But I just wanted to get that questioned answered.

My TDEE is 2584 calories. I am consuming between 2100 and 2300 calories/ day.

Also regularly every day I take the time to go home and eat with my parents. My mother cooks and its basically impossible for me to count those calories. So i kind guesstimate them. I always make sure to err on the high side. The meals are more or less healthier than anything i would eat at a restuarant. Examples are Steak, fried rice, sauteed shrimp, fish, stir fried chicken/fish/or beef. I guess mostly stir fried stuff all cooked "healthier" than your typical restuarant.

I know many of you are probably thinking if he doesn't know the exact nutrition of that meal how is he counting his calories. I basically calculate everything food item in the meal and piece them together according to how much I eat.. Its a pain in the ass but I still assume that i am missing 60-100 calories that are not inputed so i Just add that to my total.
I know its not exact. However, the meal is a family tradition. Everyone stops by for a free meal and to talk about their day.

Sorry about the long post. But i wanted to hear your inputs.. In my eyes since this diet is working. I thought maybe i should just stick with it until i stop seeing progress then I would change up and get to the Macros to exact numbers. In my culture it is rude to eat your food while someone else has cooked for you. So i want to prolong this long as i can.

Is there any problem Eating on a 40/30/30 Macro split?

    Thanks

    split looks fine..

if your dropping 1lb a week your in the sweet spot of cutting.. i wouldn't change a thing...

but 5 weeks in, have you done a refeed?? i think as soon as you stop losing that 1lb a week, it's time for a clean refeed..
