Most food values are based on precooked weight.
i buy chicken fillets from local butchers 200 to 225 grams ask at the shop thats all u need 2 know before u cook them or look on the packet if u buy from ur local supermarket
i take it your not english lol , soz fireguy. i want to consume 200g of chicken around 8 oz, the chicken weighs this before its cooked . then i cook it , i weigh again it weighs 100g around 4 oz . on the packet it says typical values are when oven cooked so looks like to me i need 400g of chicken to start with uncooked , once cooked i will have 200g . on the packet it says 100g of chicken is 30g of protein when cooked, i want 60g ! so iv been eatting half the chicken i need what a tit i am!lucky only day 4 into diet!! am i right here ?
8oz of chicken is about 55g of protien.. why you making it difficult??
^ditto
go by precooked weight andn it doesn't matter how you cook the chicken
the more u cook, the drier it gets and the lesser it weighs...and inconsistent to use as base to judge... unless u eat out, then you need to estimate
im not trying to make it differcult im new to looking at all the weights of food and stuff,
so 8 oz of uncooked chicken is ok which is 1 breast for me ?
ye as i sed 225 grams uncooked is 1 breast
weigh it before it is cooked.
done solved and there is nothing more to calculate .
