    How often and what do you drink?

    as the title says how often do you drink?

    and when you drink what do you drink?

    i know nark likes to get down on some Rum, havent BS'd with him lately but i remember he used to like drinking quite a bit for good times lol.

    how does it effect you and your dedication or does it mess u up?"

    i drink about once a month is 21 yrs old living in california so i can be pretty tough not to.

    i usual dont care what im drinking being that im drinking i just dont drink soda jsut tequilla and beer usually

    how about you guys?



    i love newcastle brown ale btw.

    couple more questions.

    how do u feeling drinking effects your performance and cardio?

    also your body comp.

    do you think there is a benefit to having say 1 dark beer?

    I hate beer so that's out of the question. I drink a few times a month tho.

    I drink vodka. Sometimes with redbull but normally with cranberry or lemonade.

    I don't drink before training days and I drink a lot of water while drinking. I don't do cardio so no effect there. I don't mix alcohols so I normally feel fine the next day.

    i havent had a drink in about 6 weeks and will not have one till christmas.......the reason being when i start drinking it leads to days of madness (partying) its either all or nothing for me.......so at the moment its nothing.......i like vodka....lager ..beer...every now and then...and white and rose wine............fuken hate cider.......

    drinking fuks my training up big time hence not doing it.......

    Well, as Phate knows, being a beer pong champ comes with drinking any beer, just about every week lol

    whiskey sours or rum and coke....I can count on one hand how many times I have had anything to drink since I turned 21...I'll be 24 in march

    It dehydrates you and from what I have read alcohol slows your metabolism. As far as the way it effects you it willvary from person to person. You have to factor in height, weight, body fat, how often the person drinks, etc.....

    Well, if I get drunk, Im done for the next day. My sleep pattern goes off, and I just feel bad and dehydrated. But by day 2, Im ready to do whatever.

    I usually binge like a mother when I am out (drink every 4-8 weeks, depends).
    My body holds the alc quite well so I am having a shit load of fun without beeing to bad of a shape (the same night), next morning comes hell and I am feeling the effects for about 3-5 days training wize.. nice

    I drink once a year on NYE. I'm very dedicated to my training and I can have a great time without alcohol. Plus it's a huge waste of money. I bust my ass 4 days a week doing weights plus cardio every week, diet hard, etc. Why would I put that in jeapordy for one night of "fun"?

    i drink when ever i want. But usually just on the weekend. i drink vodka or wine with dinner. I'm into how i look and being in good shape but it isn't my life and a few drinks doesn't matter anyway in the scheme of things

    I don't ever drink beer....I drink maybe once every 2 months...and when I do the only thing that I will drink is strictly Patron Silver.

    Alcohol makes me have palpitations the day afterward, muscle spasms, and just a general feeling of anxiety and restlessness. Which is why I dont drink it that often...

    The main thing drinking does to me is destroy my appetite the next day. I've cut down quite a bit lately but dont see ever cutting it out completely. Beer to have fun, whiskey to have an emotionally wrecked night lol

    when i do cardio after a night of drink beer i find i have more initial energy (after drink alot of water to help the dehydration) and then im usually back to normal...

    hard liquers, im miserable lol

    but i have found that workin out the next day helps alot in recovery and such...

    I'm on cycle now though so I haven't had one in 2 weeks and have about 14-16 more before I will... Kind of sucks but owell.

    I really don't understand people who drink in "moderation".

    Practically speaking, most alcohol taste like ass. You can pour a half a pound of sugar and lemons into rubbing alcohol and tell me it "taste good" but seriously, if you like the taste of alcohol you're a freak.

    Thats why if I drink I usually drink to get blitzed. At minimum a 6 pack. I don't drink alcohol for the "taste" or cause classy people like to have a glass of wine at dinner, I drink like its going out of style.

    Which is another reason now I've kinda took a step back from drinking all together. I use to go out everyweekend and get smashed, and I noticed after a few years it really takes a toll on your body.
    If I went out Saturday night, Id feel it all day Sunday, and then Monday Id still be fatigued and have little weird random pains around my body. My hangovers always last 2 days now so its a big sacrifice to go out and get hammered.

    What really wound up happening though it one weekend I just got terribly sick of it all. I hated the taste of beer so bad I couldn't drink at all that night. I just sat around watching all my buddies get drunk and act like idiots, and that was the first time I really felt somewhat mature and like my life had to have a higher purpose to it.

    So now the weekends come and I don't really do much. I usually play the tired card on my friends but really Im just tired of the stupid shit. It sucks to one degree cause when monday comes theres nothing to really look back on and tell stories about, almost like the weekend never even happened. But it sure is nice to not do cardio monday morning for 90mins to burn off the 5000 calories you ingested Sat between beer, fried foods and late night meals at the diner when your shit faced.

    Its boring now yes, but it is def a lot calmer and more peaceful this lifestyle.. or maybe I'm just getting old and boring like most people..
