I sometimes use an exercise I think is called face pulls (not upright row). I do it on the cable machine using the rope as if I were going to be doing tricep extensions. You grab the rope w/ a reverse grip stip back slightly and pull the rope to your face...you should feel a squeeze in your rear delts/traps at the end of the movement with the rope close to your face. You should google "face pulls" on youtube.

Also try hitting the heavy bag on shoulder day! It rips your shoulders up!
Like stated already, I like the reverse butterfly machine for rear delts. Nice, slow, and concentrated with a couple second hold here and there.
