    Newbie - Never Done This Before - Advice Please

    Hey Guys (and the few gals),

    I am 6 ft, 162 lbs with 24% body fat. I work out everyday for the last 3 months. I have so far gained 5 lbs of muscle but still looking to gain another 20 lbs but be ripped. My main goal is to get ripped, but 20 lbs on top of that would be great. There are so many products out there that I am getting lost at what would be best for me. Can anyone give me some advice on what's worked for them, how often to take it, etc. I am lost on all this

    welcome bud

    how old are u?

    you dont need steroids if that is what you are refering to by products

    DIET & EXERCISE will get u to your goal right now. plus your BF% is too high

    u can only do 1 thing at a time. cut now, get that bf% lowered, then consider bulking up and adding muscle

    Hit up te diet section! Cardio every day will help also

    I didn't feel that my body fat was that high, but the trainers at the gym said it was 24%. Maybe they wanted to get some training sessions out of me. lol

    I am 31. Here is an image of what my body currently looks like

    I do weights 6 days a week, and cardio 7. Usually 30-60 minutes on the bike or elliptical machine.

    im not good on bf% estimations, but ya id say in the 20s bro

    what does your diet look like?

    Meal 1 - Protein Shake and 1 cup of oatmeal

    Meal 2 - 6 oz chicken breast, 4 oz brown rice

    Meal 3 - 4 oz turkey breast, plus an apple

    Meal 4 - 8 oz steak, 6 oz brown rice, small salad

    Meal 5 - Protein shake, plus 1 oz of almonds

    well im not an expert on diets. i know what works for me, but its hard to help someone with what can work for them. if possible, try to eliminate any carb consumption past say 6pm

    your best bet is to go over to the diet section, post your diet and what you re looking to do and some guys that are great with diets can give u some sound advice!

    as for cardio, switch it up, push yourself. try new things, confuse those muscles. also try doing cardio right away in the morning upon waking up on an empty stomach, thatll help a lot
