I already have arthritis in my right wrist for eight years and two weeks ago, I fractured my right arm and knocked my wrist way out of socket. The injury is so severe that I had to have surgery last week and now have two pens in my arm which my orthopedic DR says it is technically a wrist breakage, but eventially the pens will be taken out. The injury happened by falling while practicing martial arts. The DR said he seen in my right wrist and right arm multiple old breakages that healed on its own and told me that I’m going to get bad arthritis when I get his age. I did not ask him for his age, because I thought that would be rude.
To make a long story short, I’ve been told that Dr's don’t like giving out cortisone shots too often, because it’s hard on the body and is this true? My step father told me that I would be better off with pain pills instead of cortisone shots and what’s your advice on that? I’m obviously not on no cycle now. I also am losing lots of weight from not drinking booze anymore and people like me better now, because I'm sober. Is there websites that sell cortisone for injection or is that a bad idea? I could not get a cortisone shot now even if I wanted a shot, because I have a cast on my right arm. Does calcium with vitamin D help bones heal or is that a old wise tail?
