    Help me...Help my mate....cheers

    ok im trying to sort a weight wotkout for my mate......hel be training weights thur, fri and sat....

    mon tue wed is boxing for him......

    ive got some of my own ideas...but i cant really get a great workout...

    any input appreciated.....

    think he may strugle. especially when boxing has alot of curcuit training witch is very intense.

    p.s from my experiences weight training isnt really good for a boxer as it slows your body down, so if i was doing training aswell as boxing i would go light anyway

    just somthing to think about....(*sorry i couldnt be anymore helpful)

    agree......the boxing is just for fitness..hes not wanting to fight....hes actually planing on going in the army aswell dan.....

    he says he wants to do weights...and asked for me to try and sort a routine for him.....so try i will LOL.......

    ahhh iv though the same to get myself fit for the army

    but i think that would mean droping the gym

    I would have him do full body workouts Thursday and Saturday. It sounds like he really doesn't want to put on mass just to tighten up.

    Make sure he does his squats, deadlifts, and bench presses.

    you can still get fit while doing the weights....he needs to lose some weight aswell....so weights will help with that also....

    yeah.....i would never give him a routine without those...

    thur, legs and abs
    fri, chest, shoulders, bis
    sat, back , traps , tris
    sunday rest
    start with legs on thursday so he can give top half of the body a rest from the boxing.
