    Mayo

I see a lot of people use mayo, esp. for tuna. A lot of commercially-prepared varieties of mayo contain low levels of om. 3s, and IMO, are a poorer source of fats. You're infinitely better off making your own mayo, and you're even more better off using olive oil instead.

Mayo has a pretty bad stigma attached to it. I'll admit that I don't know what all it's made from but I think the primary fat is egg yolk; no?

There are certainly worse sources of fat. But, I imagine there are also plenty of preservatives and other chemicals in there that aren't the best thing for you.

Either way, I think a lot of people feel like it's a small concession to ease the agony of choking tuna down.

it's more of an issue with the soybean oil used to make commercial mayos....it's way too refined

alternatively, you can make your own mayo (easy as hell), mix the tuna with something else, or get better tasting tuna (your best bet) that you can handle eating without mayo

I always heard and saw negative opinions and views about mayo in general...
It was my favorite thing before.. I used to finish a can of Hellman's in a week (like 3 tablespoons a day lol).. it's very easy for the body to store it as fat is what I heard...
I started to diet couple months ago and now mayo its just a bad memory for me... use mustard instead ? and tuna tastes pretty awesome !!!

2 egg yolks and 2 cups of olive oil. beat the eggs till light yellow and ribbons form when the whip is pulled from the yolks. start adding drip by drip the oil till it starts emulsifying and looking more like mayo. after that you can add oil a little quicker. or to make it real easy put the yolks in a food processor and blend till pale yellow then slowly add the oil.
