    Any poker players on AR???

    For some reason, the steroid and poker communities seem to rarely intersect, but with over 100,000 members, there have to be some card players out there. How about it, anyone ever get down with some hold em'/omaha/stud/razz...???

    I suspect this will be a very short thread.

    I play hold'em and Omaha. Me and my buddies started playing b4 it was on tv and there were 4 of us that made our living off of it for a few months with poker tracker On the net by day and live games by night. God we were so pale. We really looked like the walking dead. Ahhhh, the good ol days.

    I used to play a lot but it got in the way of training so I cut back. I've hosted several 50 person tournys and played quite a bit online. Been about three months since Ive played now

    I'm playing in a 30 person tourney on Saturday. I used to play a lot..... and by a lot I mean probably 5 days a week for a couple years.

    i used to and sometime do play a lot in live games and online at pokerstars,absolute poker,full tilt, and ultimate bet....my user name at all the site is ghettoboyd as well....case u see me there say hi....

    I used to play a lot, but it started to get to me after a while.

    There was this great UG poker club that I used to go to almost every night. The players were so bad that if you played tight you were guarenteed to make money. They chased every draw. Noone noticed if you sat around all night only playing premium hands. As long as you made a bluff ealy in the night and showed your cards when you got caught, they would look you up all night.

    That place made me think I was a better player than I was and I suffered a couple of very large losses as a result. Since that club got shut down, I don't really play much. Only place I can find a decent game is a casino, and who has time for that shit. I can't play online. It's too boring. Playing with live people is boring enough when you're not catching cards. Staring at a computer screen as I fould hundreds of hands is just too much. After an hour or so I start playing too many hands.

    I used to feel that way about online. It's frustrating and boring as shit, but there's also a shitload of money to be made with all the maniacs out there. All you have to do is play tight and only play premo hands, just basic ABC poker. Multi-tabling really helps with the boredom factor. Play 4-6 tables at once and you'll get a much better result.
