If you take extra amminos with a complete pro source you may change the quality of the pro.

Utterly useless to combine them unless you want to increase the nitrogen score of the protein...
If you want the amino's to do what they are supposed to and not just be absorbed with the other amino's in the protein do them empty stomach.

Dats why i take my BCAA'S while im working out! I sip on them the whole time.
I also do this first thing upon waking!
