Successful people/bodybuilders who have used steroids? For the book!

    Hey everyone,

How are you all doing? I've been very busy writing and very busy with my case..and extremely angry and stressed out about it. It's never ending I swear. Anyways, to get right to the point: My goal of this book is to show how steroids differ from other drugs (I'm including the positives and negatives, it won't be one sided) and also to show how many steroid users who are simply trying to be THE BEST, are also just trying to be the best with everything else in their life.

What I need is names of people who you know have used steroids who are widely well known and 'successful' in your eyes. The first that comes to mind is the mighty Austrian Oak of course, but I need some more!

Here's who I have so far:

    Arnold Schwarzennegger
    Barry Bonds
    Jason Giambi
    Jose Conseco
Rick Collins (does anyone know if Collins has ever admitted using?)

I'm shooting for not just bodybuilders and athletes, but people who have gone into other career fields as well.

    Thanks everyone, take care!!!

I would not include Bonds' name because he has never admitted use and has never actually been caught. If you want to use some pro wrestlers, I saw some good interviews with Kevin Nash and The Ultimate Warrior defending steroid use on youtube after the Chris Benoit incident

Did they admit to using? I have to make sure at some point they did otherwise that's slander and they could sue my ass off You're right on bonds thanks for catching that!!

Stallone is definitely one. He got caught with test and GH at the airport and just said he was ignorant of the local laws lol

Kurt angle just got caught with steroids also. Can't remember what exactly but if you search the lounge for his name there's a thread on it. Another big name would be mark mcguire

True... Maybe u can attempt to get their testimonials in a way that they don't feel threatened and cornered to say that they are bad(that's usually what they do) but more in a way that they let the public knwo that steroids don't make an Olympian ... That steroids don't win gold medals... That it gives an edge but nothing compared to eating training and resting

You're right on that matter, but my goal of this book is to show people that steroid users aren't just a bunch of mindless meat heads. It's to show them that they're usually hardworking, goal oriented people who apply being the best to all aspects of their life

personally i would go about this argument about successful people who do steroids differently..I would make a point that everyone who drinks alcohol isnt an alcoholic and have there life revolve around it. I would then list successful people who drink...did alcohol destroy there lives? of course not, then make a point that there are always going to be that small percent who cant handle somethings. Video games for example, there are some people who will not be able to put the controller down and before they know it there 40 years old still living with there parents talking shit to 13 year olds on world of warcraft. Obviously there are going to be some people that have aas affect there lives and let it take over there lives. but for the majority its a drug where you take it to better yourself and actually helps you become more disciplined because you have to manage time to work out, times to eat, you also have to know about nutrition and eat healthy. Its a drug where it doesn't influence your judgement, you cant drive under the influence of steroids...if anything it would help you be a better driver since your going to have quicker reaction times...idk what else to say just my 2 cents

I would include something like this also.....

"Most people look at steroids in sports as cheating..... home run records get broken..... hitting records..... but the truth is - most of the general public would not hate a firefighter who carried 2 people out of a burning building just because he was taking steroids."

I really hope that this book is a success. I've gotten so much help and support from everyone here and I definitely plan on giving back when its all said and done. Would anyone be willing to do a chat interview and talk about themselves and their experiences? It would be 100% unedited.

Bro u dont need to give back... Just by writing the book you are giving something ...as long as everyone sees thanks to all the mates from AR I think it's enough.. At least for me....

I'll do interview or whatever but have only done var so not sure if it will help... But I think it would be a good idea if ppl open themselves and say I have this job and this and that.... And not all the jobs are going to be dishwasher ( not that there is anything wrong with it) I'm sure there are going to b some managment positions there and prob ppl with lots of recognition and awards for their work ethics and achievements ...

Stallone looks pretty good for his age. He was caught with GH and is an advocate of HRT. Im sure there are many in hollywood that have used. Wesley Snipes is a prime candidate.

Here is something to consider if you are interviewing people, have some people that have had bloodwork done and have proof that after using steroids they are completely healthy, it will help create an aspect of responsibility to a steroid user

that was the most dead on explantion of steriods i ever heard. In all honesty what is this idea of cheating we are talking about? Athletes who take steriods are not cheating the system. people need to worry about corporations countries businesses cheating. that seems to be a bigger societal problem to me. barry bonds took hgh... the banking industry bankrupted this country. Who is the cheater?
