    seems the best place to ask...

    My mate just had me on the phone, he wants to get out of england & he mentioned moving to america, and to be honest i wouldnt mind it either (obv if i get in the army ill have to hang fire for a few years).

    Basically im wondering if american will accept outsiders, with criminal records, no job to go to, no family over there?

    my mate was saying australia is water tight, and you would'nt get into the contry with a record. which i allready know.

    is it the same sort of rules with america?

    figured it would be a good place to ask.

    As long as your not on parole your good to go. May be a little hard to find a job depending on what the charges were.

    depending on the job, they may not even check... best thing to do is always check NO to any misdemeanors or felonys (including speeding tickets!!!)

    I'd be sunk if they actually did the check on my speeding tickets lol 108mph in a 65mph (got it reduced to 94 )

    you can get to Austarlia with a record...but depends what you have done tho....any conviction with drugs will prob stop you......cant help with America......America and Australia are the places i want to travel the most...

    There are some very clean cities in the us. Indianapolis seemed really nice, I love Chicago, los angeles has it's areas, Miami is big but not really a metropolitan city. Very clean and nice tho. Every city has it's dumps tho so keep that in mind.
