    length of workout routine

    Hey

I'm new to this whole forum stuff but needed a little more information and what better palce to do the research. Anyways alittle about me:

    age: 37
    height 5'5'
    wieght 158lbs
    Bf 14%
    goals 180lbs my March 11-12%BF

I have been in the gym for the past few years and have done a few cycles, test then test and deca. My question for everyone is in your opinion what is the best length of weeks for a workout routine. I have heard people say 6weeks all the way out to 12 weeks?

Welcome bro! You've got a very nice jumping off point judging by your stats. As for your question, there's a lot of solid workout routines posted in the Workout forum. I'd ask around in there and find out what works best for you!

I've never used routines, personally I've never found them beneficial. I switch up my workouts week to week to keep my body guessing, but that's just what works for me. I know a lot of people who've thrived on routines, 5*5s, pyramid set structures, the usual length is probly 6-12 weeks but as you can see I'm really not one to ask. Good luck bro

its said to change it up every month so you dont plateau, but its all on your bodies individual needs. True bodybuilders (or powerlifters or whatever) they know to listen to there bodies and know when they feel there not getting the same out of there workout as they used to, so they change it up. So if you feel like your not getting the same pump or its to easy, then change it up. You can also change your routine not by exercises but the amount of reps/sets you do and cutting down on rest time. You have done a few cycles and your 158lbs???? how?

Welcome! IMHO Ronnie Rowland's Slingshot Training System seems promising eventhough I have never tried it yet. However I am planning to follow his program for my first cycle which will be in a couple months from now.

Here's the link to his thread: http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...t=source+check

    Good luck!
