Im no genius but that seems like overtraining to me. I bet if you did 3 exersizes, 4 sets each you'd be there........jmo........Who knows, give it a shot.

Who cares about losing strength on the Pec Deck.....Think of it as a shaping exercise and worry about using low weight with high reps to force the blood into your chest after you do your basic exercises.

Seriously... Unless you're massive and shredded, pec deck won't do much at all. My guess is you're neither, so stick to the basics and drop the pec deck

Pec deck can be beneficial but as mentioned before your strength issue may be an over training issue. But while on this topic pec dec shouldnt be an extrememly heavy exercise.

If I had to try and be more specific I would say its a rotator cuff issue since the pec deck can usually cause some to cheat by involving too much or too little of this muscle for assitance. I would make sure you have stretched the pectorals well and start with a moderate weight, see how stretching helps.

In my training experience i will incorporate the pec deck with another chest exercise and have never solely used it as an exercise on its own.

    Good luck brother

as others have stated, drop the pec dec as part of your w/o. imo its only good for pre exhausting before compound moves.
