thanks for the welcome. I know i gotta wait a while to ask questions so im just trying to read around to get some info. Im still trying to get the rules down to haha. I do have a question as to cardio/strength training. Back when i was in high school and college i wrestled and there really wasnt a huge diffrence when i upped my cardio to cut weight, but as i get older the less cardio i do the softer my midsection gets and the more i do it counters my muscle gain. What is a good mix of both? right now i do 2-3 of cardio a week usally after a workout session. Would it be better to mix it up with one in the morning and one in the afternoon?

Are you keeping track of your heart rate during cardio sessions? If it goes too high you will burn muscle, keeping it at 60-65% of your max heart rate (220-age) will allow you to burn fat most efficiently without burning off muscle. Four 45 min sessions a week in this range is very effective.

its kinda hard to keep track.. im in a very undeveloped place so we got some ghetto as stuff to work with. just kinda running haha. Ive read it different ways in different books about when to do cardio.. before after workout and different times all together. I never really had to worry about cardio till about now so this is kinda a new area to me. I know all body types are different so things for you wont necessarily work for me.

welcome ...as for out in the sticks...remember a second hand on the watch and for every ten seconds will help keep you heart rate under control...we dont ever wanna lose muscle to cardio ,...even less to poor diet...
