Question Bacteriostatic water for mixing hCG?

My pharmacy (yes a real pharmacy) says they cannot get me "bacteriostatic water" beyond the 2ml vial bundled with the hCG vial. This sounds really odd and I'm thinking its due to language problems.

I did for example find glass vials of 5ml "sterile water" on their shelves.

They also suggested they could sell me a Saline solution in 20ml or 50ml sizes.

Now, I assume sterile water is the same as bacteriostatic water (correct?) but how about the Saline solution -is that a valid substitute to dilute hCG as well???

    Thanks!

I'm not in the US mate but thanks for the suggestion. Shipping here is too unreliable.

    Anybody else on my questions.

Why not just use the 2mL to mix?

    What's your HCG concentration?

    If it's 5,000 I.U. - Then:

    2mL/5,000I.U.

    Insulin Syringe:
    10 units = 250 I.U.
    20 units = 500 I.U.
    etc, etc...
