You have to find out what works for you. Some guys will respond better to a 4 day split, others a 5 day split, some full body 3 times a week.
Here is my current split
Mon. - Chest
Tues - Shoulders
Wed - Arms
Thurs - Rest
Fri - Legs
Sat - Back
Sun - Rest
I used to do the 4 day split, but I started plateauing. This seems to be working very good.
whatever is reasonable and fits your schedule best... some will resppond better to more frequent while some will respond better to 3x a week... its all about finding what works optimal for you just be aware you will have to switch up rep ranges/exercises periodically
5 days a week seems to be pretty standard.
Depends on your style of training as well.
I'm doing some volume training ATM, 3 days a week....I would overtrain if I did any more.
I think every split properly planned will yield the same results... it's just a matter of which one works best with your schedule and which one you will be able to 110% commit to. Too elaborate or inconveniant of a workout will set yourself up for failure.
Ive always ran a 4-5 day split
legs
chest
back
shoulders
arms
rest
rest
Some weeks If im really busy and have to miss a day ill miss arms
I work out 8 days a week...
Really though, I shoot for 5 but it's not ever the exact same 5 every week.
Agreed with this. All these workouts are good ideas, but it takes time see which one works.
Over the next several weeks try these ideas out and soon enough you will slip into one that works for you. I have tried these out and I ended up finding my style that works. This is my opinion. Good Luck
