yes i believe it does, but i think there are better options - it is a stimulant but will cause weight loss more than fat loss, so lean tissue could be lost. I think clen, eph or salbutamol are better options.

I would never in a million years suggest someone take up smoking to lose weight!!! EVER. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. When you take your noxplode or superpump 250 the argine is what helps with the pump from vasodilation. Vasoconstriction does the opposite by choking the vessels off, nothing good comes from nicotine whether it be cigs, dip, chewing tobacco..etc.... Nicotine also slows bone healing and wound healing due to its vasoconstriction properties also some back surgeons will not do certain procedures unless you stop smoking! Bottom line is if you wanna lose weight get a diet plan!! NUFF SAID!

    Copy and paste from wikipedia-nicotine:

"The therapeutic use of nicotine as a means of appetite-control and to promote weight loss is anecdotally supported by many ex-smokers who claim to put on weight after quitting. Studies of nicotine in mice[69] suggest it may play a role in weight-loss that is independent of appetite and studies involving the elderly suggest that nicotine affects not only weight loss, but also prevents some weight gain.[70]"

I also have read somewhere in contrary that smoking creates a steriodal effect and supports weight maintenance in calorie deficient diet. WTF? I think that was on wiki too somewhere...

if you were to take nicotine it would be nicotine gum, not by taking up smoking.

I would not advise smoking or using nicotine gum ( or anything like that ).. but there are some nicotine transdermal creams that worked rather well for me in the past( i also had a few friends that it didnt work that great on).. plus I know a few competitors that use it ( the transdermal ) during prep ( and like it )...

About 3 1/2 years ago I smoked cigarettes. I was a smoker for nearly 6 years. Afetr determining it was time to get really serious about improving my body, I made a decision to quit. Came into work one morning where I normally smoke my first cigarette of the day and instead of smoking, I grabbed some food to eat. Havent touched another cigarette since then and basically replaced one addiction for another, LOL. I just ate when I had an urge and stuck to it, cold turkey, no doubts! Feel 100% better and my body appreciated the decision too. Its a mental thing man.

Eventually just a thought. Very individualistic though. For some, it can be really difficult to just lay down the habit. Im merely suggesting replace it with something else and keep your undivided attention to it (ex:bodybuilding). Good luck Jbert!
