What are some techniques or different exercises that help to work the outer quad specifically the bottom part towards the knee? Mine seems to be lacking and seems like I actually have some stability issues affecting the knee itself because of it.

hack squats, and leg extensions(rotate your toes inwards) which hits the vastus lateralis
front squats close stance with heels slightly raised
