Arrow Eating on a budget. Possible?

Groceries... I don't care how you look at it. Meat, vegetables, supplements, creatine, protein shakes, etc, it gets friggin' expensive!

    How do you do it?

guess you have to look at what else you spend your cash on... and see if you realy need it? supplements i learnt that less is more, for example some NO drinks dont work as well with gultamine in your body... or so it said on brand label. try cut them down to what you must use, and use cash for meat.. try adding oats to your protien to make weight gain shake and so on

    check out wholesale places

    BJ's, Sams, costco etc

learn how to cut coupons. sounds gay but it def helps

learn what you can about types of meats, produce etc
makes it easier to see what is good and what is a deal

take other stupid crap out of your budget... that cup of starbucks in the morning
    that lottery ticket, cigarettes, etc

buy store brand items for things that dont matter
    milk, canned goods, so on

it all adds up penny by pennhy

I always wait until chicken breasts are on sale and buy like $150 worth at once when its 2.99/lb. Same with lean ground beef I bout like 30 lbs recently when it was on sale for $1.50/lb. I would have bought more but my freeaer got full.

Its not easy, but dukkitdalaw has it right, SAMS, COSTCO is a good choice, they also carry the whey products and supplements at a lower cost. Other than that, get a second or third job to pay for it, it's not easy in this economy....

I have been on a really tight budget as of late. I buy different things at different places.

Aldi's has natty pb, beef and evoo the cheapest

Dillons/ Kroger has egg whites and cottage cheese the cheapest

I call the meat departments at all the local grocers to check their chicken prices before buying. Most times at least one of the stores have it on sale, and if not Aldi's always has it for $6.50 for a 3.5lb bag. I picked up 4 bags yesterday for 3.99 each.

Also, I never make a special trip to pick anything up as that waste fuel. I stop on the way home from work, on the way to or from the gym etc....
You can make it work. I have made it down to under $10 a day.

    I can get by on about $80/-$90/wk, not too bad. Here is the breakdown of it;

    chicken- $1.78/lb at Sams, 1 pack is about $12 and 6 lbs, 2, 8 oz portions/day
eggs- $1.39/dozen, 12 will last me 1 day so thats like $10 on eggs/wk
    natural peanut butter-$3
    greens- $5
    bag of potatoes- $3
    oatmeal- $3
    grits- $3
    protein powder- (Dymatize elite) $17.95
    bag of rice- $3
condiments-$5 (since I do not buy every wk I'm rounding off to $5)
    cheat meals(2/wk) $20
