    What is the best way..

    To cook veggies while preserving the Nutrients within them? How do you guys cook them?

    Steam
    Microwave
    Boil
    ??

    Looking for your info to keep most nutrients as possible.

    In both, the interest of time and preserving nutrients, I buy microwavable bags of veggies.

    I would say steaming would be best for preserving nutrients. don't steam things until they are sloppy mush. Do it slightly in between soft and hard.

    doesn't microwaving destroy the foods value?

    microwaves are tuned to water molecules and they vibrate them in order to heat up the food. doesn't hurt the nutrients to a value worth noting. However you can overcook anything.

    was thinking about doing this, obvisously it isnt the same as fresh veg, but is it still good and worth it???

    yes, overcooking veggies does reduce nutrient levels

    that being said, cooked veggies are much easier to digest, and if you feel they are too deplete of nutrients, then just have a few extra spoonfuls -- we're talking about veggies, something everyone should have a little too much of

    frozen veggies have almost identical nutritional profiles as fresh ones, as they are usually frozen right after being picked

    frozen >>> canned
