Does tongkat ali really boost test levels????

    Hi.

I was told and I read that Tongkat Ali (Longjack) boosts testosterone levels!

Then a vet on PCT called Swifto told me that it nor Fenugreek can boost androgen levels!

If it is not rrue why does Zeus by Fusion Bodybuilding (a product with both of them in it) have androgenic side effects such as acne, sweating and excess facial hair?

These sides were reported by most reviewers!

    I said what exactly?

Tongkat Ali raised endogenous testosterone levels in animals at pretty extreme doses. Its a waste of time IMHO.

There is no evidence it raises T in humans. Nothing peer-reviewed or published in any reputable journals.

Fadogia agrestis raised T in rodents, not humans.

Your best bet is a topical Resveratorl product, like Sustain Alpha.

    Yo Swifo.

On this thread you said the following

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...=409***&page=2

'Does **** all for androgen production.'

'Anything a supplement store owner tells your about herbs and androgen prodcution is bullshit, unless he's telling you they dont work, but he wouldnt as he wants your $$$.'

Does IMHO stand for In My Honest Opinion?

Do you think it is the Fenugreek that boosts test levels then?

I think the tests were done in Canada because the company is Canadian!

This link tells you about the science zeus!

    Thanx bro.

What is the best to tongkat ali available in the uk?

Does it work through the LH and FSH mechanism?

Does it block negative feedback inhibition?

I think it would be good and safe replacement for HCG!

Exactly. So where did I say Funugreek raised androgen levels?

The website link you posted sells the product, or has a vested interest in its sale. The "science" they post is utter bullshit. You need to read peer-reviwed, published studies on sites like pubmed.com. Not make believe articles that look like studies done by patent holders and companies selling the herbs.

Thats not to say it doesnt raise free T, because a few things do that are herbal. But there minimal at best and wont increase performance, LBM etc...

I have very little faith in ANY herb increase total T. Some increase free T (marginally), but not much will increase total T.

    You need to start again.

I'm beginning to think you ask stpid questions as a joke.

There is no evidence Tongkat Ali will increase total/free T in humans. Only MASSIVE doses in animals.

Not much will stop the negative feedback loop. I've told you this before.

AI's, Clomid and opoid antagonists, like Naltrexone combined with GnRH agonists may be able to aswell.

With Tribulas, instead of there being no or little evidence on it. There is evidence (lots) stating it does NOTHING. Dont be fooled by companies that offer "standardised" Tribulas either. It does nada for androgen levels.

Other herbs that are fairly new, like Lj100, have very limited data. Although some experience acne, which suggests it raises T. I've tried it though and got nothing.

A topical Resveratrol supplement is best, like Sustain Alpha.

    Trib does nothing.

    Fadogia raises LH in rodents.

Tongkat Ali raises total T in MASSIVE doses in animals.

Some herbs increase free T, but not enough to increase performance, strength, LBM etc...

Proviron will raise free T by binding to SHBG. So will almost all androgens. Proviron would be a far cheaper alternative than all these bullshit herbs.

    Thanxs

I looked up both fenugreek and tongkat ali on pubmed and found nothing to show that they increase t!

I was not plannin 2 use em for bbing but for PCT!

Is Proviron better than Stinging Nettle at it?

Pubmed and Medline are my main sources of information, yes.

Nettle Root may increase free T.

I'd add Sustain Alpha to your PCT. All other herbs (at this point) are pretty useless IMHO.

Hey Swifto, could you take a minute to explain this, or point me in the right direction to read up on it. I use naltrexone, but am unfamiliar with GnRH agonists.

    Why do you use Naltrexone?
