    workout to be lean

Since I was 16 yrs. old, I've always wanted to bulk. I always trained every body part once a week very hard and very heavy. It worked very well for me. Now, I am 25 yrs. old and would like to concentrate on, at least for the coming year, training to become as cut and hard as possible while putting on a bit of muscle as well. With diet in place to meet these goals, should I change up my workout a bit? Should I be training body parts more than once a week? Should I change up the reps?

This is the workout regime I used to use to bulk up:

    Mon: Chest
    Tues: Back
    Wed: Legs
    Thurs: Shoulders
    Fri: Arms
    Sat: Abs/Calves
    Sun: OFF

    Advice please?

    Thanks, MS

Training should always be intense. The difference between bulking and cutting is the diet. To build muscle you need extra calories for your body to use. When you cut you eat less so your body pulls from itself a little at a time to compensate for the calories missing which is why your diet has to be on point for each one so you gain lean muscle and not to much fat and cut so you maintain as much muscle as possible while shedding the fat off.
