I've heard low weight, 12-15 reps for 4 sets.
I've heard really heavy weight, like 600+ pounds for 2-4 reps for 6 sets.
I've heard all the stuff in between too. What is the REAL way to grow your calves?

10-15 reps is the way to go bro, hit them twice a week you'll be happy with the results
I do dumbell calf raises-thats it
As many sets as I can stand and still be able to walk out the gym. I did calves last Friday and they're still sore.
I barely work out my calves as they pop out like crazy (arms won't grow for shit, but calves explode... talk about shit luck!).
I mostly do standing calf raises in the squat rack while standing on a "step workout" platform. 2 sets of 20 @ 180lbs, then 2 sets of 15 @ 270. I like standing calf raises as it adds your body weight to the routine and you don't need an insane amount of plates for good results.
I also do calf raises when in the leg press at whatever weight I just pressed. I alternate between leg press and calf raises.
I don't bother with seated calf raises...

Anyone know what Arnold/Platts did?
