careful, b/c different lists use different ranking systems...some use glucose as the standard, others use white bread
the GI values refer to 50g of carbohydrate....this is an important consideration, b/c your meals may not have that many...
the GI values are for ingestion of that carb alone....protein and fat can alter these values (significantly)
also, the subjects used for many of the studies involving the GI were pre-diabetic/had blood sugar issues
use it as a rough guide, but unless you have blood sugar issues, don't swear by it
