    Storing Eggs?

    Hi,

I go through about 3-4 dozen eggs per week. Instead of peeling them everytime I am about to eat them, I was thinking about peeling them all at once therefore I wouldnt have to mess with peeling them everytime I wanted to eat them. I am not sure if eggs are good stored outside of their shell. I was also wondering about storing the egg whites and yolks seperately. Anyone do this, or have success with storing them? Thanks

they will be fine out of the shell....just get a container with a lid thats big enough to hold all of them and cover them with water and pop it in the fridge....the sulfides (i think thats what it is) that are in the eggs will make the water smell a little funny and start to give it a yellowish tint. it dont mean they are bad or anything, just change the water every few days or so. if you still have some left after 7 days...toss em or just pay close attention to them, but as long as you keep the batch consistantly cold..they will deff last you a week.

Have you ever considered buying bulk egg whites. Much easier to deal with imo.

Add a little vinegar to the water and they will def be good for week. I'm not talking about enough to pickle them. About 1 TBSP per gal. would do it.
