    How do you know your body is in Ketosis?

    I have heard mixed reviews about Keto sticks and was just curious if anyone had any other ways to identify when we are in that state. I started a Keto diet on Monday and wanted to make sure I had all the macros right and I achieve this state.

    ny help would be appreciated..

    ~once the headaches have cleared
    ~when you start having more frequent toilet visits (piss) or you pee bigger amounts
    ~stanky breathe
    ~slightly warmer then usual
    ~very FLAT looking (depleted)
    ~slight acne/test levels increase
    ~strength drops by about 10 or so %

    these are usually my indications of entering ketosis.

    First time Keto dieting. I am def getting some wicked headaches right now. I prob am just starting to go into this.

    they have some stick things you you pee on and it tells you if your in ketosis they sell them at pharmacys

    OP, all of the above recommendations are on point. Although i will say this,dont worry to much about being in Ketosis ,when carbs are limited very low the body has no other choice but look to bodyfat to burn.Ketosis is just the "side effect" of having a very low carb diet. So dont lose sleep over hoping your in ketosis you will still tap into fat stores. What your meal plan of attack look like?...TOP

    i wouldnt worry about knwoing when your in ketosis

    i found with 3days with no carbs i was in ketosis since by this time your body should have run out of glycogen stores

    i also foudn on ketosis i had a weird sliva in my mouth, felt odd and hard to describe, its like having a sort of melted butter feeling in your mouth

    also when you go toilet u definetaly notice the difference once ur in ketosis, my crap became almost liquid all the time and STANKKKKKKKKK

    Because my little Ketostix that I just peed told me!

    I find I have increased frequency of little globules of yellowish material appearing from the back of my mouth that stinks to high heaven. God knows what it is but is truly rank.

    I notice fairly quickly on the CKD that my energy in the gym is probably reduced by about 40% and I really struggle.

    When I get to my cutting stage I think I'll try the TKD this time and see if theres any difference in weight loss.

    I can tell I am in ketosis because I am not feeling very sluggish and my mouth tastes like I am sucking on tinfoil. Weird metallic taste.

    When I'm in ketosis, I feel like I'm so gaunt in the face that strangers may try to feed me like a horse. I just feel very thin in general, quite the opposite of the day after a carb-up.

    But isn't it weird how hunger miraculously vanishes when you're on it without a trace

    On the other hand, how hard is Friday before re-feed? haha. I always hate Fridays
