    help for a new guy that is overweight

    My friend is interested in losing weight and becoming serious out his execrise.
    I have him doing 45 min of HIIT cardio 3-4 times and some weight training
    Age : 26
    5’5
    207
    BF 37%
    BMR = 2037
    TDEE is 2801 Calories ( 1-3 excerise per week ) or 3108 Calories (3-5)

    His goal is 180 in 6 months.

    can you help me with what he should eat at to lose this weight?
    he is a little financially strapped if you have any work arounds.

    I doubt anyone here will write a diet for him, but if he's motivated enough, have him get on here, start reading the stickies, and threads similar to his situation, and see what has worked for others.

    Then he can put together a diet, and post it for critique.

    I will help him design a diet but my question is...should he eat at 300 less than his TDEE or even more?

    imo, even at +30% body fat, I'd start his cals at his TDEE, and have him do an hour of low intensity cardio ED.

    if hes not willing to put the time in to learn how to eat how is he gonna follow a diet as strict as its gonna need to be? he needs to know why and when he needs to eat these foods that aint gonna taste very good
