I love eating uncooked oats with milk. Is uncooked oats still gonna give me the same benifits as cooked oats?

Yes.
Fireguy- wouldn't cooking them if anything take away some of the nutrients? Just a thought and its probably on the site but i figured its a simple question and didn't bother to look for cooking and nutrient advice for just oats lol. (laziness).
Never tried this - if it's possible (and the taste is bearable) i'd like to replace my Ezekiel bread PWO with this.
Do you put anything else in there besides milk? Whole, skim, or something in between? What is the ratio you use of milk to oats? Cinnamon? Salt? Splenda?
Please let me know!
I like to blend half a cup of uncooked oats with my protien shake with water it tastes great... Like a chocolate thick shake
cooked oats just absorb the milk or water you use. its exactly the same
When you blend uncooked oats with your protein shake, do you 'grind' them down to a powder first in a blender? In other words - I have to hand shake my PWO shake because I don't have access to a blender at that time - can I just throw oats in there or will that be gross?
I heard grinding them in a coffee grinder works well, I'm going to do this for my PWO shakes and also mix my eggs and whites, protien shake, and oats all together for a nice nutritious breakfast. Heard you cant even taste the oats when you grind it to a powder.
i just trhow the protien and the oas in at the same time, the grinder should do all the work
