just looking for some answers about injections

also wondering is it possible to get a small bruise from using a "dull" pin?

here is a suggestion use one pin as your drawing pin and just keep it then every time you are poking with a new pin.

bro i have no idea maybe it is just the way your body reacts to it.

    Make sure it's clean

I'm not a doctor ><, but you need to make sure you are using a DIFFERENT injection site every time, I personally alternate sides, as well as making sure everything is completely clean. Are you using latex gloves? maybe you're allergic. But every time you make an injection, it needs to time to heal otherwise scar tissue will form, so like i said i would try alternating sides with every injection, making sure you dont FORCE it in, you alleviate pressure and completely relax, then it should nearly fall through your skin. See if this helps.

ya i am alternating sides in my legs, every monday is the left side and every thursday is the right side. since this time it was a dull needle and if i did "force" it a little could that cause a bruise? cuz there is a very small dark spot where i injected. as for the redness and warmth could that maybe be caused by the benzyl alcohol?

Pins are SOOOO cheap. Just buy a set for drawing (bigger gauge) and a set for pinning. It will cost like $6 and then you can eliminate a dull pin as the problem. Normally, I order my drawing gauge on the syringe. Then I buy the same amount of 23's (just needles) to swap out after.

I just wanted to clarify that I think BJPenn means use a new drawing pin each time. Reusing any pin can lead to infection regardless of if it goes into the body or not.
