This morning. And prolly my last - hurts like shiat and bled like a mofo. Aspirated and no blood - so went through one or nicked one.
Just thought after so many in the glute I ought to try another spot. This sucks.

Virgin Muscle dude, get over it.
knew i would get a response like this. no, it won't be my last but thanks for the words bro
Flats, what gauge you using man? I've just kept it to the glutes. Been using a 25g lately and it goes in virtually unnoticed. Doctor even told me to go with 27g, but I don't know how well the test will inject.
hey Flat - I normally have a hard time reaching my glutes (especially right glute) so have always been injecting into the quads. It seems that if I go closer to my groin more than my knee, I get less soreness... Just did my first Delt shot this morning actually and was painless and quick. Can't aspirate however since you are essentially one-handed at that point, but I'm not sure if it's needed in the delt?
I typically do 25g 1" in quad and bought a few 25g 5/8 to try in the deltoid. Go fast and no issues. Go slow and it hurts a lot more. Have a had a few times where my leg 'jumped' after I put the needle in but not hurt - kinda wierd...
Yea - the only 1" needle i had was a 23 gauge. I use 25 1 1/2" for my glutes - I just know that I have to start rotating. Thanks vette and sub.
JP, wazup?
yeah they do jpk and I think I know what you're referring to (squeeze thumb/finger between top of tab and plunger top?). Was picking up a new Test E prescription from the pharmacist and she said they didn't teach them to aspirate when learning how to inject into the delts for flu shots. I always aspirated when doing quads - guess I'll try to do it for delts too just to be safe.
subnet, don't get into the habit of not aspirating it is a huge mistake.
Brian - that was my first time and definitely my last not aspirating!
What happens if you don't aspirate and you inject right into a vein? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but just would like to know why it's a big deal.
