Sometimes I hate my F'in job!

Man sometimes I hate my job! The Marine Corps forces me to get all four of my wisdom teeth cut out of my head. Then when I get put on light duty for a week and can't PT they wanna break my balls. This is what is wrong with the military, they promote people to leadership roles (Staff NCO's) they don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground. My entire face is swollen like a god damn chipmunk but they act like I am milking it and trying to get out of PTing, even though I workout twice as much as the whole platoon. I swear if this was the civilian world I would've punched that fat bitch right in the face. Rank sucks!

Did you get your teeth pulled? Because when they did mine they had to cut into the gums and remove part of the bone with the tooth. I mean I am able to excercise, but the MO (Medical Officer) is the one who has the final say. And he puts everyone on light duty for a week. Hell I'm going to the gym after work today. I just hate the face that they force you to do something and then chew your ass for it.

I had all 4 of mine pulled about 2 years ago. It's not any fun but it didnt stop me from doing anything and I went to work the next day. I have a pretty high pain tolerance though naturally. I have broken my nose and didnt know it. broken my little finger and though it was funny. stuck myself with things (pins, nails, screws) gotten pretty good cuts and never knew it. I even was being electrocuted one time in an old wet tree house placing my hand on an exposed 110v wire and was like WTF is that tingling. LOL Actually I have been shocked/hit by 110v several times working on my house. My wife didnt believe me when she saw me one time so I hit the wire again and then touch her. Knocked her on her but then she tried to kill me. hahahaha

Trust me, I dont like pain and try to avoid it and I know everyone has difference pain tolerances so no need to pretend one person is tougher than another.

Make sure you keep the area clean so you dont get an infection.

Ohhh yeah, my 16 yr old daughter just opted to have all 4 of hers pulled/cut out about a month ago.

I would like to say she went back to school the next day but no... she wussed out and said it hurt. actually she was embarrassed due to the swelling. She has fairly high pain tolerance like me. She fractured her wrist in 3 places quadding and kept riding all day for another 2 or 3 hrs.

Point is though, I am good to go, but the MO doesn't care. He ordered me to be on light duty for a certain amount of time. I was just ranting how I hate the fact that they give me $hit, but there is nothing I can do. Your daughter sounds tough, lol.

That is one of my biggest petpeeves. people who are in a leadership role that have not put in the time w knowledge, experience, and the people skills to properly complete tasks. I just want to choak em.

use this anger and frustration as motivation to get promoted, so someday when your in their position you can do a better job than they are. If you really want to piss somebody off, get promoted beyond their rank, then give them hell

I agree with you 100% and have been there. If you have doctors orders to be on light duty then that is how it should be. I had issues with my daughters school when she fractured her wrist. One teacher/counselor seemed to think my daughter should be able to write, do pushups and everything else normal even though she had a doctors note saying light duty then NO use due to the school making her use her wrist. I had to meet with the school. I got in the ladies face and asked why she was a teacher since she clearly had a medical degree and had diagnosed my daughter and outranked the orthopedic surgeon we had seen. After telling them I had no problem with just suing them also if they wanted to argue one little bit they became accommodating; for a while.

Ask your CO or whoever where he got his MD. LOL No maybe not a good idea.

In the Army you get 2 days off of work, then you are right back in it. I am an e6 and I would never harass my soldiers for being on light duty.... unless they extended their profile without informing me about it.

Bro, you will be fine. Once you get back into the swing of it, they will forget all about it.... and there will be another Marine taking a hit for the same thing. Nature of the beast

feel ya on the light duty man.... just had gyno surg and on a profile for 3 months... i catch hell all damn day. can't run, jump, march, wear any tactical gear, lift a damn thing...all the SNCO's hate it because i get to hang with them and drink coffee all damn day lol.

and yes, rank ****in sucks especially when you have some youngin out ranking you on a power trip who can't do their job but can test like a mofo.
