Need advice on uni sust 250

New poster with some questions and in search of advice. A year ago I went to my doc to have routine check-up. I had a feeling my t-levels were low and sure enough they were. Doc prescribed androgel. Used androgel for a full year with very little improvement. First 3 months I could tell a difference, next 3 months no change in the way I felt or no improvement in libido. Next 3 months doc doubles the dose and again I see a slight improvement. Last 3 months feels like I was wasting my time applying the stuff. A buddy introduces me to Uni Sust 250. I took first dose today @ 1cc. Was this the correct choice? I have no desire to be a powerlifter, body builder, or an elite athlete. I'm a big dude at 6'0" 325 lbs. I'm active in that I walk 3 miles 4 days a week and in the gym the other 3 doing a regular routine of upper and lower body cores with a few auxillaries. My one and only reason for needing any kind of supplement is to improve energy level and especially libido. Do any of you with a wealth of knowledge have any suggestions or recommendation for someone like me? I would certainly appreciate any advice some of you could throw my way.

keep reading here...lots of posts to learn from...
you will learn that testosterone AND estrogen levels need to be addressed when you are replacing hormones....
TO ME...sounds like u could have had a rise in estrogen when you were on the androgel and thats why initially u felt better but then that feeling ebbed....
i'm not familiar with sust in particular...some more people will chime in that have maybe but i believe once you find the right test/estro balance youre gonna find what youre looking for if thats all you suffer from is a hormone deficiency...and i also believe you will be happy with the shot once a week rather than slathering that shiat on everyday...

    welcome...hope this helps

I like sust. You can try doing half a cc twice a week, that will keep u on a more level playing field. Just make sure u get ur bloodwork done that is the key too keep u healthy. Good luck on ur new journey.

Fellas, been 5 wks on Sust 250 and so far I'm feeling pretty good. Have more energy, higher libido and generally in a better mood. I've even quit using snuff(smokeless tobacco). Got one little thing that has manifested in the last 8-9 days. I've been swollen/holding water like i've not experienced before. I'm taking OTC diuretics with some relief but not significantly. Blood Pressure in not much higher than it normally is. Been drinking the mess out of water, well over a gallon a day. Any suggestions? Help a brotha out. Darn ankles are disappearing. LOL

Dude, you really need to get some blood work done. From what you've described about your earlier experience with the gel and your current symptoms of bloating/water retention I'd say it's likely your estrogen levels are too high. Work with a doc to get all of your numbers lined up if you can. If not, then there's plenty of reading available regarding AI's and running them with test.

I don't know if it's prescribed in HRT/TRT or not, but IMO I wouldn't think sust would be a great compound for testosterone replacement. The reason being is that sust is a combination of 4 different testosterones, both short and long esters.

It seems that if it is not injected frequently enough, then your blood levels will be on a roller-coater type effect. And consistent blood levels is especially key for HRT/TRT.

Also, I would bet your estrogen levels are high. They were possibly high before on the gel, but with sust, I bet they may be higher. Also, what is your body fat at?

    Bro,

You are asking for trouble here. Get blood work done asap. Improve your diet - no reason for you not to be losing weight doing the cardio you are doing. BF is your biggest enemy and I can only imagine if it is as high as it sounds like it might be how much t you are converting to e. You are headed for high blood pressure and if prone - gyno along with a host of other problems.

I think you need to be on test c or e if you are going to keep taking it. But please get labs done and post the results.

Sus250 was used for HRT/TRT back in the early 90's. The shot was given once a month back then. My hook up was so proud he got his hands on it... Kinda sad how little people knew back then. The internet has changed everything.

Ok. That really begins to enlighten me on several things after reading your replies. I appreciate y'alls input. I wanna do this right if I'm gonna be doing it. To reply to some of your replies, BF is high. Only form of exercise is cardio. I religiously walk/jog 2-3 miles daily. I don't strength train. I've improved my diet (what I eat), but not portion size. Seems the more I walk/jog the hungrier I am. I do understand that I have to get blood work done and now have scheduled to do so next week. What are some points that I need to bring to my Dr's attention? Are there specific tests I should request. Obviously what I'm on was not prescribed by him, do I let him know what I'm doing? What are some specific things that I need to ask or know? The estrogen thing has got me a little scared. I did have BP checked yesterday, it was 184/100. I'll keep reading on educating myself, but I'll continue to ask questions and look forward to your replies as those seem to be more direct and to the point. Thanks.

Just happened to think of a couple of other things that I don't entirely understand. I feel like with the amount of cardio I do I ought to be losing weight. Could my blood, if in fact is out of whack, be preventing the weight loss from occuring? The other thing is, by doing HRT/TRT does it have an effect on one's metabolism? If so, good or bad?

    Again, Thanks!

you need to cut back on your intake. test will help with weight loss but you have to do the work it is not magic. your e has to be high, are you taking anything to lower it? how much are you shooting? what is the mg/ml?

get a good doc and level with him you need medical treatment not a message board.

flats..., no update yet. Got appt to see "sawbones" early next week (tues). Here's the deal. Do I continue my regimen even though I have a scheduled visit to the doc next week, if so, I've screwed the pooch on that cuz I didn't take my weekly dose because I got scared with all of the water retention and stuff on gyno. When I do get my bloodwork done next week, will what I've taken be out of my system and my t-levels low?....I hope so. Maybe this time it'll get my Dr.'s attention a little more. It will have been 17 days from last dose of 1ml/wk of sust 250 to the visit with dr. on tues. Any advice? What are some specifics that I need to discuss with him other than the way I'm physically feeling? Are there specific exams that I should be requesting. I like this doc but I'm not so sure he's gonna be very helpful. I want to put his ass to the test and see if he's gonna help me out or am I going to have to find another Dr.

naw, if it has been 17 days - see if you can put it off for as long as you can then get the bloodwork done and see how it comes back. Give him all the symptoms and see what happens. Make sure you get a full panel done including e2.
