Thread: Sperm quality on TRT

    Sperm quality on TRT

Quick question: Did any of u guys on TRT do a sperm-check after a while?
What I wanna know is: Is there a serious disturbance in sperm quality after lets say, 1year of 100mg/week?

And one more: Does pituitary gland shut down almost completely while on TRT, in the sense of almost non-existent LH/FSH levels while on therapy? Or is it more dosage-related?

    thnx guys.

i know that i was told that it would be hard to have a child when i went on trt....theres a couple threads to this fact...most lean towards the patient going on hcg where i'm hearing that the fertility is pretty much reversed back to where you were and have a similar to same chance as conceiving while on the hcg therapy

    thnx guys.
I had a Semen Analysis schedule for Feb 23, but the problem was, I couldn't fire one up. No Viagra on hand, couldn't get aroused at the hospital, just too much pressure. Not surprised though, I currently have ED issues prior to going to my appointment.

Furthermore, if your taking 100mg of Test for a whole year with no HCG, I would be willing to bet the house on it that your sperm count would be negatively impacted. Any exogenous Test will definitely throw your HPTA "off-line". I have been on TRT since March 2009, and that includes one cycle and my FSH is at 0.8 and LH 1.4. Do you plan on doing some bloodwork and a Semen Analysis?

    Thnx for d answer man..
I did a couple of bloodworks because I suspected I have low test for my age (i'm 24)... Was right. it's in the low-normal range.

Anway, I also did a semen-analysis, and everything (sperm count, morphology) was good, except for the progressive mobility, which was not so good. But AFAIK that has a tendency to become better. Btw, I never did any cycles.

BTW, what would be the right amount of HCG on 100mg TEst E./week?
    250IU,3x a week maybe??

My doc has me at 250iu, 3x a week. However, I run this for 2 months on, 1 month off. I do this because I read a couple studies/articles about constant HCG usage and a negative impact on Estrogen.
