I've been doing some research on a ketogenic diet and by the looks of it, i would think one would get shredded (5% bf) while on cycle if they were starting around 14-15%.

I haven't but do know a few competitors that ran a keto diet during contest prep. They did get shredded but also lost a little more muscle then I would have wanted. Also, it seemed to be tough reintroducing carbs back in after the long keto diet. A friend of mine didn't poop for a week after his contest and had to go in to the hospital for relief. That's after eating lots of carbs of course.
Done everything and can tell you that keto done properly during cycle can help you make mass and strength gains.
You really have to have it dialed and time your refeeds properly, though.
I would experiment with carb cycling to get a handle on manipulating carbs first before you fully try a keto diet. Just my thoughts, but it is a very tough transition for someone that has never done it before.
