Recently I purchased some veterinary grade vitamin B12 (from a U.K website, that is where I live).
The vial is 100ml which is made up of Cyanocobalamin 0.05% and Phenol 0.5%as a preservative.
After doing some research about Phenol, I was shocked to find out how TOXIC it is and which can lead to numerious serious side effects and even DEATH.
So I have 2 questions:
1) If Phenol is toxic why is it in the solution, if it can kill humans surley it will kill animals?
2) Next time I order vet grade b12 (which I will as human grade B12 will cost $80 for a 30ml vial incl delivery to uk) what shall I be looking out for?
